The constitution, therefore, promotes all forms of cultural expression of Kenya people including local languages, literature, performing arts, visual arts, traditional celebrations, traditional cuisine, traditional medicine, traditional technologies, information and communication, mass media, publications, libraries and archives as well as other cultural heritage platforms.
Uwezo College has invested in gathering cultural information and knowledge about the Kamba and Kikuyu having been motivated by the cultural challenges that confront our youth from mixed marriages, in diaspora, or simply adult people living in cosmopolitan areas.

The interest in learning one’s culture should never be viewed as promotion of negative ethnicity or promoting what some might mistakenly call dark uncivilized past as result of brain-washing by the West. It is therefore to emphasize that apart from economic empowerment this course also aims to;
To provide a reasonable degree of information to those who want to understand their identity as Kenyan people of a particular Tribe;
To dispel the myth that every cultural practice was backward and uncivilized; and
To provide one stop source of information to those from mixed marriages who want to understand aspects of their in laws culture.
In order to support a needy Youth to undertake this course Uwezo Wetu Foundations invites all individuals and organizations of good will to partner in the following ways;
Individual Sponsor undertakes to fund fully a specific student for a specific 3 months job specific skills training course. The sponsorship can also include upkeep where required. The Cost for tuition only for one student is Shs 65,000.
Organization sponsoring a group of students to acquire the specific skill, internship and placement. The funding for this is done through project proposals to various donor agencies to be done by the Uwezo Wetu Foundation board of management. Once the funds are secured they are used solely to fund the specific group of students identified and qualifying for the award of the bursary
