Felix‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌Chairman‌ ‌and‌ ‌Founder‌ ‌of‌ ‌Uwezo‌ ‌Wetu‌ ‌Foundation.‌ ‌He‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌results‌ ‌oriented‌ ‌person‌ ‌with‌ ‌ extensive‌ ‌experience‌ ‌in‌ ‌finance,‌ ‌auditing,‌ ‌general‌ ‌management,‌ ‌sales‌ ‌and‌ ‌marketing,‌ ‌and‌ ‌has‌ ‌proven‌ ‌ success‌ ‌in‌ ‌launch‌ ‌and‌ ‌development‌ ‌of‌ ‌new‌ ‌businesses.‌ ‌He‌ ‌holds‌ ‌a‌ ‌Bcom‌ ‌degree‌ ‌(UON)‌ ‌and‌ ‌he‌ ‌is‌ ‌a‌ ‌ qualified‌ ‌accountant‌ ‌(CPAK).‌

He‌ ‌trained‌ ‌as‌ ‌an‌ ‌Accountant‌ ‌with‌ ‌PWC‌ ‌(‌ ‌C&L)‌ ‌and‌ ‌later‌ ‌joined‌ ‌MultiChoice‌ ‌as‌ ‌Finance‌ ‌Manager‌ ‌for‌ ‌12‌ ‌ years‌ ‌before‌ ‌becoming‌ ‌founder‌ ‌General‌ ‌Manager‌ ‌of‌ ‌GOtv,‌ ‌a‌ ‌role‌ ‌he‌ ‌held‌ ‌for‌ ‌8‌ ‌years.‌

Currently‌ ‌Felix‌ ‌is‌ ‌the‌ ‌Managing‌ ‌Director‌ ‌of‌ ‌Uwezo‌ ‌College‌ ‌based‌ ‌in‌ ‌Machakos.‌ ‌Uwezo‌ ‌College‌ ‌is‌ ‌ registered‌ ‌by‌ ‌Ministry‌ ‌of‌ ‌Education‌ ‌as‌ ‌a‌ ‌TVETA‌ ‌institution‌ ‌offering‌ ‌various‌ ‌technical‌ ‌and‌ ‌business‌ ‌courses‌ ‌ up‌ ‌to‌ ‌Diploma‌ ‌level.‌ ‌The‌ ‌College‌ ‌also‌ ‌offers‌ ‌short‌ ‌job‌ ‌specific‌ ‌skills‌ ‌training‌ ‌courses‌ ‌aimed‌ ‌at‌ ‌equipping‌ ‌ young‌ ‌people‌ ‌with‌ ‌skills‌ ‌to‌ ‌earn‌ ‌a‌ ‌dignified‌ ‌livelihood.‌

The‌ ‌Foundation‌ ‌also‌ ‌aims‌ ‌to‌ ‌train‌ ‌many‌ ‌disadvantaged‌ ‌needy‌ ‌Youth‌ ‌on‌ ‌short‌ ‌term‌ ‌job‌ ‌ specific‌ ‌courses‌ ‌that‌ ‌will‌ ‌place‌ ‌them‌ ‌in‌ ‌job‌ ‌market‌ ‌quickly‌ ‌or‌ ‌empower‌ ‌them‌ ‌to‌ ‌become‌ ‌self-employed.‌

Janet is an auditing, accounting and Finance expert currently working with KPMG in the Deal and strategy Advisory department. She holds Bcom (Strathmore) MSc Financial Management (Edinburgh University) and ACCA (UK).‌

Janet Experience and professionalism has been useful in accounting roles, auditing, secretarial and Fund raising proposals writing for Uwezo Wetu Foundation. She undertakes this work as a way of giving back to society.‌

In addition, Janet does volunteer work as a mentor under Global Give Back Circle, an initiative that aims to mentor girls on actions and activities that will strengthen new behaviors and give them the confidence they need to step-up to roles in political, social and economic empowerment.

Catherine has over 35 years of experience in sales, customer service, general management and in all aspects of Electronic banking having worked for Unga limited, Barclays Bank(ABSA), Commercial bank of Africa and Ecobank ( where she was in charge of Sub Saharan Africa covering 33 countries). She holds BA in Sociology and political Science (UON) And Diploma in Marketing.

Catherine is a Senior Rotary member ( Rotary Club of Milimani ) and has served as President of the club, Assistant Governor and Mentor for new Rotarians. Her role in Rotary includes Community activities whose main focus is Education, Water & Sanitation, Vocational training, Health and Environment. She is also a Mentor of Precious Sisters, an organization that supports girls from the disadvantaged families with tuition, boarding, personal essentials and transport as well as regular visits to schools to check on their progress and assist where required.

Her fund raising experience locally and abroad are greatly valued by Uwezo Wetu Foundation as we stripe to assist more needy Youth.

Patrick Maundu is an Ethnobotanist who has devoted much of his life to research in the indigenous knowledge of African biodiversity especially in health and nutrition. He holds PhD (Traditional food systems) from Leiden University, The Netherlands, MSc (Biodiversity and Natural products) from Agronomic Institute of Chania, Crete, Greece (1999).

Patrick led a multi-institutional team of researchers in promoting African leafy vegetables and Dietary diversification (2001-2010) in 10 African countries. This work saw the return of indigenous vegetables in the Kenyan markets and diets. For these efforts, he was recognized as a guardian of biodiversity in a Global campaign for Diversity for Life and in addition received the 2006 CGIAR Outstanding Award for an innovative and highly effective campaign to promote the consumption of micronutrient-rich African leafy vegetables in Sub-Saharan Africa.

Patrick believes in food diversification as an approach to improving nutrition and that African biodiversity especially of food and medicinal plants, has a huge hidden potential for improving nutrition, health and livelihoods in both urban and rural communities. He views indigenous knowledge as a vehicle toward discovering and unlocking this hidden potential. He has a lot of ongoing research papers and writings in these fields.

Patrick Knowledge in human dietary and health behavior, local and international connections, funding proposal writings is of great value to Uwezo Wetu Foundation objective of making a difference in a needy Youth.

Mr Aggrey Lumba is the Executive Director of Career Training Center (CTC). CTC is a Training & Consulting organization specializing in Capacity Building, Career Development as well as Youth Empowerment. He has over 25 years of experience in this field and has managed to train and place thousands of students in formal jobs or self-employment.

Over the years he has consulted for UNICEF, KEPSA, NITA/MIIYA under the KYEOP program, Kenya Airways among others.

Aggrey’s Expertise in Project Planning & Management, Monitoring & Evaluation, Proposal Writing, Report Writing, Fund Raising makes him a crucial and vital member of Uwezo Wetu Foundation.
